Before diving into our mission, let’s talk about our history. Our founder, Dr. McCarthy, served his country in the United States Army for several years. During that time, his daughter Katie needed braces. While searching for orthodontic treatment, Dr. McCarthy discovered that affordable braces were nowhere in sight for those living on military salaries. At that time most orthodontists required down payments of one to two thousand dollars just to begin treatment. Often times orthodontic care was only within reach of the wealthy. Motivated to give his daughter and others the smile they want, Dr. McCarthy set one goal: to make getting a smile attainable for everyone. From the early days, Dr. McCarthy removed the primary barrier to obtaining treatment by creating flexible financing options. Birmingham Orthodontics offers a variety of payment options for those who can’t pay the full cost of braces up front. Our interest-free, in-house financing plans and patient appreciation discounts help further our mission to make braces an affordable investment. We’ve designed a payment program for those who aren’t yet old enough to begin treatment. Our risk-free Youth Savings Program allows parents to lock in rates and start paying for their child’s braces before their first appointment.
